I’ve worked extensively with social media throughout my time in college. My experience ranges from advising business owners how to set up their various accounts, how to increase engagement with social media posts, the differences of how and what to post for each social media site. I have even worked on starting and maintaining a Facebook page for the Kutztown Track and Field team to help with connecting alumni (for fundraising), the team, parents, and recruits.
As the Page Manager of the Kutztown University Track and Field Facebook page I practiced and learned many of the inner workings on ways to increase engagement with types of posts, when posts should be displayed (depending on age group target), and how to make posts stay longer on the newsfeed of those who like the page. During the season, I averaged 790 unique post views a week, with an average of 195 engaged users a week. In just 10 months I was able to attract 290 likes on the page with daily posts that averaged 7.8% virality. You can access the Kutztown University Track and Field Facebook page that I started and run by clicking on the logo that I also designed:
While working for the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center I created a guide on how to create and run a Facebook Business page. You can view that guide here: E-commerce Guide
Also while working for the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center I created a guide on creating an E-commerce website for small business owners. I included a small cartoon guide to help make the task seem less daunting and pull the reader through the guide. You can access the guide here: Facebook Help Guide
