Lately my reading list has seemingly piled as high as the snow outside. I’ve read many books and articles lately, so here is some of the most interesting reads I’ve found.
The buzzword of 2012 was analytics, and the buzzword of 2013 was content, I hope 2014 brings along a new word: contalytics. One can constantly claim that your content needs to be awesome, but if its posted at the wrong times it just becomes worthless. This article helps show when the best times to send an email to get people to read your content. My favorite aspect of the infographic in this article is that it goes beyond simply showing the data of when to send your emails, but helps explain why people will read them at those times. This article from Under30CEO brings out many interesting points on affordable product branding. The article highlights the many challenges that a low price strategy put on the branding strategy. I really enjoyed the suggestions in the article, which I see reflected in Target’s low price, high quality image they portray.
